- Document review—drawings, maintenance records, et cetera—and interviews.
- Walk-through survey of the property.
- Preparation of cost estimates for deficiencies or recommended remedies.
- Written report documenting findings and costs.
As part of the PCA, the local building and local fire departments are contacted to check for building or fire code violations. Additionally, verifying that a certificate of occupancy has been issued for the building will be checked.
